Among the oldest and largest mountaineering organizations in the country, the Mazamas offers a wide variety of activities to individuals interested in hiking and climbing. Terry is the chair of the Expedition Committee which teaches mountaineering classes and raises funds for climbing expeditions.
Terry has climbed all 16 of the major peaks in the Northwest.
Terry volunteers at our local National Public Radio station/Public Broadcasting Station, OPB, several times every year to answer phones during fund raising campaigns.
Terry serves as a volunteer for the Stanford Fund which supports the university’s scholarships, teaching and learning and student life. Terry also interviews prospective undergraduate students through the Outreach Volunteer Alumni Link (OVAL).
The oldest ski patrol in the nation (founded in 1937), the Mount Hood Ski Patrol serves the major snow resorts on Mt. Hood. Terry is a Senior Hill Patroller and volunteers primarily at Mt. Hood Meadows. He also serves on the Finance Committee.
Terry serves on the board for the local alumni association of his alma mater, Stanford University.
